2nd October - learning the basics, Tripod

Today we learnt how to use the film tripods, we were set in to groups and shown how to operate the different parts of the tripod efficiently and smoothly.

This was a very helpful demonstration as I’ve never used this kind of tripod and helps me be better prepared, I found the tripod quite easy to use as long as you know how move each part.

We were then given a task to shoot some videos using the tripod. We started out on shooting some pan shots and some tilt shots. The challenging part was to balance tripod settings so that it would be 
 Smooth when moving it in all directions.
